Join others on May 5th for an event that has become a spring tradition in the metro Atlanta area. Founded to honor the only person with ALS to ever complete an Ironman triathlon, the ALS Run for Life 5K has raised $86,000 in five years with the goal of discovering a cure for ALS, or Lou Gehrig's Disease. Featuring a new location this year, racers will line up in front of the Forsyth Conference Center for one united cause. The chip-timed 5K course takes participants across all asphalt surfaces and is a Peachtree Qualifier for 2013. All entrants will receive a goody bag and their choice of a dri-fit or cotton T-shirt (guaranteed to those registered by 4/19/12).
All proceeds benefit the Emory ALS Center in Atlanta.
