Cumming Martial Arts Opens Its Doors: Providing Classes for Kids Who are Bullied and Women Who want to Learn Self Defense.

Cumming, GA, July 17, 2012 – On August 1st, Cumming Martial Arts will open a Karate and self-defense studio at 5890 Bethelview Rd in the Bethelview Square shopping center. 

The Cumming Martial Arts studio will have state of the art floor mats, kicking bags and other equipment for a high level of exercise and training in Karate and Ju Jitsu.  A parent’s waiting room, complete with a children’s play area and wi-fi, will be available for those wishing to stay to observe their child’s classes.

Bullying is a common occurrence and kids, teens and adults want to do something about it.  Confidence is key and Cumming Martial Arts training will provide students, beginning as young as age 4, with the confidence they need to help them to not become the target of a potential bully.

Cumming Martial Arts will also provide Women Only Self Defense Classes.  Karate not only provides women with the knowledge and expertise to defend themselves from potential attackers, but also offers many physical benefits, such as losing weight, toning legs and arms and building core strength.

Sensei Ian Evans, founder and head instructor, comes to the business with a Black Belt in 3 different Martial Arts Styles.  Sensei Evans has over 30 years of training in six styles and more than 15 years of teaching.  He is fully certified in CPR and First Aid.  Sensei Evans is a resident of Cumming and is excited to be able to provide this valuable service to his community. 

A grand opening event is planned on August 11, 2012 from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Bethelview address, everyone is invited to attend.  Instructors and current students will provide demonstrations in self-defense, weapons and forms.
