The public is welcome to join members of the local Sons of Confederate Veterans to hear UGA professor Christopher Lawton speaking on How antebellum outsiders imagined Georgia as a place, how certain Georgians responded to those perceptions, and how it ultimately contributed to the fracturing of the Union. The meeting will be held at the Bell Research Center in the Old School House in Cumming.
