FBI Allegedly Conducting Interviews Regarding City of Cumming Insurance Scandal
Mayor H. Ford Gravitt has admitted on camera that his girlfriend, who is not a city employee, is receiving taxpayer-funded health insurance

The Federal Bureau of Investigation may be taking interest in allegations that taxpayer-funded health insurance provided to City of Cumming employees has also been extended to non-employees.
According to WSB-TV, the FBI has been interviewing persons in relation to the allegations, which include accusations that the long-time girlfriend of Mayor H. Ford Gravitt has been receiving city health insurance for almost a decade despite never working for the city.

It is alleged that Angela Mullinax’s health insurance has cost Cumming taxpayers around $75,000 over the years, and Gravitt has publicly admitted to WSB-TV that he placed Mullinax on the list of those who were to receive benefits.
Another person who may be receiving taxpayer-funded health coverage is City Attorney Dana B. Miles, according to WSB-TV.

The FBI does not confirm or deny the existence of ongoing investigations, so it may be some time before official word of federal involvement becomes available.
