Final Chance to Offer Input on Forsyth Schools' Proposed 2015-16 Calendar Ends Today

The proposed calendar will give students in Cumming and the rest of Forsyth County a fall break.

Forsyth County Schools has proposed a calendar for the 2015-16 school year, and wants feedback from parents, students, and other community members.

The calendar, which can be seen in full here, stipulates an Aug. 6, 2015 start date for Forsyth County schools, with the last day of school being on May 27, 2016.

Students would get one week off for fall break, a one week Thanksgiving break, two weeks off for Christmas, a one week spring break, and four early release dates.

Parents, students, community members, and Forsyth County Schools staff are invited to provide their thoughts and opinions on the proposed calendar until Nov. 3. The Forsyth County Board of Education would vote on a 2015-16 school year calendar on Nov. 20.
