Fire Destroys Home on Lake Lanier
One firefighter was injured fighting the blaze, in northeast Forsyth County.

CUMMING, GA -- A home on Lake Lanier was destroyed and a firefighter was injured in a fire this week.
The Tuesday blaze was at a rental home on Bethel Road in northeast Forsyth County, the Forsyth County News reported.
The firefighter, one of about 30 who responded to the fire, injured his shoulder while entering the building, Forsyth County Fire Department division Chief Jason Shivers told the paper.

A couple of other firefighters had to be pulled from the fire for exhaustion, Shivers said.
Four adults were staying in the rental home, but none were there at the time of the fire on Tuesday.

Reportedly, they had been out on the lake and, as they boated back to their dock, they saw smoke coming from their home and called 911.
The home was deemed a total loss and three vehicles, including a motorcycle, sustained damage, Shivers told the paper.
