- Former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence stopped by Cumming Cigar Company Tuesday to endorse Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp ahead of the Nov. 8 midterm election. "Vote Georgia! Vote to re-elect Brian Kemp to four more years," Pence told supporters. Kemp is facing Democratic challenger Stacie Abrams in a rematch of the candidates' 2018 election. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- Keep Forsyth County Beautiful, in partnership with the Forsyth County Recycling and Solid Waste Department and the City of Cumming, will host a Household Hazardous Waste Recycling and Disposal event from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Cumming Fairgrounds' parking lot 3, 235 Castleberry Road. Pre-registration is required, and there is a limited number of registrants. The event is free but a $5 donation to KFCB is suggested. (KFCB)
- 'Tis the season. Halcyon Forsyth will host a Holiday Artists Market this Saturday from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. The event will feature unique handmade items from talented local artists. Limited spaces remain for artists. For more information, contact kristendinh@icloud.com. (Halcyon Forsyth)
