Forsyth County Animal Shelter Needs Supplies

The Cumming-based shelter has posted a wish list of items on the county's website.

The Forsyth County Animal Shelter is asking the public for help to stock the shelves of its supply closets with disinfecting wipes, dish soap, animal food, toys, and more.

According to Forsyth County’s website, the following items are requested:

  • Kuranda cots
  • Dog pill pockets
  • KMR (kitten replacement milk), feeding bottles and other kitten supplies
  • Pedigree canned dog food
  • Fancy Feast canned cat food
  • Milk Bone dog biscuits
  • Gift cards to Petco, PetSmart or Costco
  • Pet wipes
  • Disinfecting wipes
  • Dawn dish soap
  • Gently used towels and blankets
  • Cat toys
  • Large Kong@ toys
  • HE laundry soap
  • Paper towels
  • Cat scratching posts
  • Cat trees for climbing
  • Stainless steel pet food bowls
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Training treats

Supplies can be dropped off at the animal shelter between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Forsyth County Animal Shelter is located at 4065 County Way in Cumming. Alternately, people can visit the Humane Society’s wish list on Amazon and purchase items that will be directly delivered to the shelter.
