Forsyth County Charity To Host Tennis Tournament Fundraiser
The third annual event will support Jesse's House, an emergency shelter for girls in North Georgia who are experiencing abuse and neglect.

CUMMING, GA —Jesse's House, an emergency shelter for adolescent girls in North Georgia who are experiencing abuse and neglect, has announced its annual fundraiser -a tennis tournament - will take place next month.
The 3rd Annual Round Robin Tennis Tournament will be held Nov. 12-13 at the Windermere and Fieldstone tennis communities in Forsyth County.
According to representatives from Jesse's House, the tournament is an opportunity for Atlanta area tennis players to come together to enjoy the sport they love, while helping to raise money for the charity. The tournament also is expected to result in increased awareness about Jesse's House.

In fact, in previous years, the tennis tournament has led to monthly donations, mentor volunteers and community support for the charity, organizers said. Corporate sponsors Crabapple Market and United Parcel Service (UPS) also help fund the tournament and the charity.
"The support we get from our corporate and community donors throughout the year is amazing, and without exaggeration, we couldn't continue operating without it," said Elizabeth Johnson the executive director of Jesse's House. "The tennis tournament is our only annual fundraising event, so we rely heavily on it to help us raise necessary funding to cover operating costs for the year."

Jesse's House, originally known as the Forsyth County Youth Shelter, offers a safe haven and services to girls ages 7 to 21, who have been removed from abusive environments.
The home provides each resident with their own room, food and clothing, along with medical and dental care and psychological support. Additionally, all residents receive academic support and life-skills training to help prepare them for their years beyond Jesse's House.
Organizers of the tournament fundraiser said they are seeking additional tennis players, business partners and silent auction donations for the event. Those interested can contact tournament host Micaela Brady at micaelaann@gmail.com or (404) 545-6670.
