Forsyth County Infrastructure Bond Passes
Over 60 percent of the more than 50,000 votes cast came in support of the measure.

Forsyth County voters have approved a measure which will allow the county to issue up to $200 million in bonds to improve the county’s infrastructure.
63.44 percent of the 54,794 voters who cast ballots on Tuesday regarding the transportation bond voted in favor of the measure. That works out to 34,764 yes votes and 20,030 no votes.
The bonds are meant to pay for road widenings, new roads, and other improvements. The county will repay the bonds over a 20 year period; a $250,000 home will see a $121 tax increase for the 20 year period the bonds are in repayment.
