Forsyth County Schools To End Meals Program Wednesday
Forsyth County schools will stop providing student and family meals on Wednesday, May 20, ahead of the last day of school on Friday.
FORSYTH COUNTY, GA – Forsyth County schools will stop providing student and family meals on Wednesday, May 20, ahead of the last day of school on Friday.
On Wednesday, students and families will be given three meals to last through the end of the week.
Those families who are in need can utilize the services of community food pantries such as The Place and Meals of Grace. The Place assists local families with emergency basic needs such as food services and affordable merchandise from an onsite thrift store. Meals of Grace offers no-cost delivered meals to children and their families in the county who have been identified as having a special need by the Forsyth County School System Social Workers.

Forsyth County schools have provided meals on Mondays and Wednesdays since mid-March to students and their families. The school system has also delivered meals to neighborhoods designated by the USDA as an "eligible" area where 50 percent or more of its residents are eligible for meal services.
