Forsyth County Schools Makes Inclement Weather Decision
Students were already scheduled to have the day off; the latest weather related decision only affects school-based staff.

Based on the weather forecast for Monday, February 16, 2015, Forsyth County Schools has decided to CLOSE schools for school-based staff. Students do not have school on Monday because it was originally scheduled for a student holiday for staff professional development. Central Office staff and school-based 240 day staff should report if conditions permit safe travel.
We will evaluate the weather on Monday and determine then if practices for school activities and athletics will be held in the afternoon or evening within the county.

We will continue to monitor the weather for Tuesday, February 17, and will try to make a decision concerning school by Monday evening if possible to allow families appropriate time to plan.
