Forsyth County Woman Charged With Child Molestation, Rape

Authorities are withholding most details in the case due to the age of the alleged victim.

CUMMING, GA -- A south Forsyth County woman has turned herself in to authorities on charges of child molestation and statutory rape.

Kathy Tompa, 48, of an Alpharetta address in Forsyth County, reported to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office on Thursday, sheriff's spokesman Epifanio Rodriguez said.

The official charges against her are enticing a child for indecent purposes, aggravated child molestation and statutory rape.

She is being held without bond until a hearing before a magistrate judge.

Because of the nature of the charges, and the age of the alleged victim, Rodriguez said the sheriff's office is withholding all other information about the case.
