Forsyth Deputies Make Major Pot Bust

One person was arrested for the marijuana growing operation on Jot Em Down Road.

CUMMING, GA — Sheriff's deputies busted a large marijuana growing operation in north Forsyth County on Thursday.

According to a post on social media, a Forsyth County Sheriff's Office narcotics unit executed a search warrant at a home on Jot Em Down Road in north Forsyth on Thursday.

While there, narcotics detectives confiscated 126 marijuana plants they say were found growing inside the house.

Officers also found trash bags containing "dried green leafy materials" suspected of being marijuana.

One arrest was made for manufacturing, trafficking and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

"Arrests like this reflect the commitment the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has to our community and keeping everyone safe," the sheriff's office said in the post.
