Forsyth Firefighters, And Their Boots, Hitting The Streets Saturday
The campaign raises millions of dollars in Georgia for burn prevention education and burn treatment services

CUMMING, GA — Forsyth County firefighters will join their peers from more than 100 departments across Georgia on Saturday, hitting the streets to help raise money for burn victims.
The "Give Burns the Boot" campaign, benefiting the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation, will run for the next three Saturdays — May 6, 13 and 20.
Donations collected during the boot drive will be presented to the burn foundation and will be used for fire safety and prevention education and burn survivor services.

A portion of the total funds raised will be returned to the Forsyth County Fire Department to support local fire prevention and education efforts. Money raised also will go to Camp Oo-U-La, a weeklong summer camp for burn-injured children between the ages of 7 and 17 and their siblings.

In addition to the manned intersections, donations can be made online via the Georgia Firefighters BurnFoundation virtual boot drive.
