Forsyth Recycling Event Set For Saturday
Keep Forsyth County Beautiful will be accepting old electronics and paint at the Cumming Fairgrounds.

CUMMING, GA -- Have a bunch of old electronics cluttering up your storage or paint cans stacked up in the garage?
Saturday's your chance to get rid of them in a responsible way.
Keep Forsyth County Beautiful is sponsoring an electronics and paint recycling event from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday in Parking Lot 3 of the Cumming Fairgrounds.

The group is asking a minimum donation of $5 per carload. Old television sets are an additional $20 each and old computer monitors an extra $5.
For oil and latex-based paints, disposal is $10 for a 5-gallon bucket, $5 for a two-gallon bucket, $3 for a one-gallon can (or $5 for two), $2 for a one-quart can and $1 for a one-pint can.

Spray paint cans can be recycled for $1.
Electronics that will be accepted include laptops, smartphones, stereos, printers and gaming consoles. Household appliances and the like will not be accepted, nor will large, wooden console televisions.
