Forsyth Schools' Graduation Rate Tops in Georgia
Over 90 percent of Cumming and Forsyth's Class of 2014 graduated on time, the highest rate among the state's 20 largest school districts.

Nine out of ten Forsyth County high school seniors earned a diploma during the 2013-14 school year, the highest such rate of all the 20 largest school districts in Georgia.
According to Forsyth County Schools, 90.3 percent of the Class of 2014 graduated on time, a 0.8 percent increase over the Class of 2013’s rate and well above the state average of 72.5 percent. Every high school in Forsyth County had a graduation rate well above the state average.
“We are excited to see our overall graduation rate increase to above 90%,” stated Jeff Bearden, superintendent of Forsyth County Schools, in a statement. “I am thankful to our teachers, staff members, parents and business partners that have worked with us to ensure that more students are receiving high school diplomas. We are committed to reaching our district goal that all Forsyth County students will leave our schools with a high school diploma.”

Lambert High School’s graduation rate of 97.7 percent was the highest percentage of all large schools in the state, and North Forsyth High School reported a 4.9 percent graduation rate increase between 2013 and 2014, the largest increase in the county.
.“We are so pleased with the increase in our graduation rate,” shared Beth Hebert, principal of North Forsyth HS, in a statement. “This is a result of a united effort between our teachers, counselors, graduation coach, administrators, and community to make sure all of our students stay on track and graduate.”

The 2013 and 2014 graduation rates of Forsyth County’s high schools are as follows:
- Forsyth Central: 2014 - 82.5/2013 - 82.1
- Lambert: 2014 - 97.7/2013 - 98.8
- North Forsyth: 2014 - 87.4/2013 - 82.5
- South Forsyth: 2014 - 94.0/2013 - 93.8
- West Forsyth: 2014 - 90.1/2013 - 92.7
