Forsyth Schools Tops State, Large Districts On GA Milestones
In Georgia, Forsyth County Schools had the highest scores for eight areas. Among large systems, FCS had the highest scores for 13 areas.
FORSYTH COUNTY, GA — Forsyth County Schools (FCS) has released its results of the 2019 Georgia Milestones, which include EOG (End of Grade) assessments for grades 3-8 and EOC (End of Course) assessments for grades 8/9-12 scores.
In Georgia, FCS had the highest scores for 8 areas:
- 4th Grade Math
- 5th Grade Math
- 5th Grade Social Studies
- 6th Grade ELA
- 6th Grade Math
- 7th Grade ELA
- 7th Grade Math
- Algebra I
Among large systems (over 1,000 students) in Georgia, FCS had the highest scores for 13 areas:

Students began taking Georgia Milestones assessments in 2014-15. The testing system is one comprehensive program across grades 3-12, which includes open-ended and technology-enhanced questions to better gauge students’ content mastery. Georgia Milestones assesses student learning along four levels of achievement: beginning, developing, proficient and distinguished.
