Forsyth Sheriff Reminds Public What's Legal With Fireworks

If you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, you cannot legally fire off fireworks.

FORSYTH COUNTY, GA – The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office has put out a reminder for the public about the legal use of fireworks within the county.

Quick reminder regarding Fireworks:

  • Fireworks can be used until 11:59 p.m. on Independence Day, July 4th
  • Fireworks cannot be used at parks or historic sites, on roads and highways or within 100 yards of a nursing home, hospital, power plants, prison, or gas station.
  • If you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, you cannot legally fire off fireworks.

The Sheriff's Office reminds the public to be mindful of their surroundings, such as families with small children, homes with combat veterans, homes with animals, shooting fireworks in the direction of another house, and always be sure to keep a safe distance from spectators.
