Forsyth Sheriff Seeking Academy Sports Shoplifter
The man filled a duffel bag with items of clothing, then left the store on Saturday, sheriff's deputies say.

CUMMING, GA — The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help catching a man they say shoplifted from a local sporting goods store Saturday night.
Some time around 8:53 p.m. on Saturday, a man whose image was caught on surveillance cameras walked into Academy Sports at 320 Peachtree Pkwy., deputies say. They say the man got a shopping cart and filled it with items of clothing, then went to a back corner of the store, where he put the clothes in an Academy Sports duffel bag.
The man ignored an employee who asked him to stop, then walked out of the store while talking on his cellphone, according to deputies. Anyone with information about the man's identity is asked to contact Det. J.E. Burndrett at 770-886-2800, ext. 2557, or by email at jeburndrett@forsythco.com.
