Forsyth Sheriff's Deputy Earns His Stripes
Scott Boggus, a six-year veteran of the force, was promoted to the rank of sergeant last week.

A Forsyth County sheriff’s deputy was promoted during an official ceremony last week.
According to the Forsyth County Sheriff Office’s Facebook page, Scott Boggus was promoted to sergeant by Sheriff Duane K. Piper. The newly-minted sergeant will head up the office’s warrant unit.
Prior to his promotion, Boggus was serving as a detective in the special victims unit. Boggus has served with the sheriff’s office for six years.
