Forsyth Sheriff's Office Announces Openings for Teen Driving Seminars
The two-hour classes are a complement to technical driving school courses, and are not required to get a license.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has opened registration for two seminars which are designed to help teen drivers and their parents make the most use of the 40 required hours of supervised practice time needed to graduate to a full driver’s license.
Georgia Teens Ride With P.R.I.D.E. is a free, two-hour seminar that covers topics such as the graduated driver’s license system, crash dynamics, teen driving facts and statistics, and the Teenage Adult Driver Responsibility Act. During the seminar, parents and teens are broken up into their respective age groups; parents learn more about what they need to do during the teen’s supervised driving practice, and teens discuss risky driving behaviors exhibited by their peers.
The course is open to anyone aged 13 to 19 and their parents or guardians, but the program is especially tailored for young drivers aged 14 to 16. There is no residency requirement for parents and teens wishing to attend the Ride With P.R.I.D.E. seminar in Forsyth County.
