Forsyth Spray Pad To Open Next Week

The popular water attraction will be open on Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day, Forsyth County officials say.

CUMMING, GA — Forsyth County's popular spray pad water attraction is set to open for the season next week, just in time for Memorial Day.

Located at Old Atlanta Park, the spray pad will open on Saturday, May 27, and remain open through September 4, county officials announced Friday.

From May 27-August 2, hours of operation for the spray pad are Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Beginning August 3, and running through September 4, the hours will be Tuesday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Daily admission for the spray pad is $2 per person (1 year old and up). Only cash or checks will be accepted.

Adults entering with a paying child are free as long as they remain on the dry deck.

Annual individual passes are available for $30, and annual family passes are available for $60.

The spray pad is available for private rentals on Sundays only, June 4 through August 27, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. A two-hour private rental is $200 and includes exclusive use of the spray pad and adjacent pavilion for a maximum of 100 participants.

Old Atlanta Park is located at 810 Nichols Road in southeast Forsyth County. In addition to the spray pad, Old Atlanta Park features a natural playground, a tot-lot for children age 6 and under, two pavilions, a 1-mile walking trail and a recreation center.
