Forsyth Stores Perfect In Underage-Alcohol Sting

It was the first time in years no stores sold alcohol to an underage agent, the sheriff's office said. Here's a list of the 13 stores.

CUMMING, GA — Stores in Forsyth County did the right thing during a recent sheriff's office sting operation targeting underage-alcohol sales.

All 13 businesses visited by undercover agents during an underage-alcohol buy operation on Aug. 10 refused to sell booze without proper identification, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

"We ... are happy to report that each business refused to sell alcohol to our underage buyer," the sheriff's office said in a news release.

The release said that it was the first time in years that an underage-buy operation resulted in no charges. After each purchase attempt, sheriff's deputies met with clerks at managers at the stores.

"We explained the operation and expressed our gratitude for their commitment in keeping alcohol out of the hands of underage drinkers," the sheriff's office said.
