Forsyth Teen Charged With Homicide In Crash

CUMMING, GA — A 17-year-old Lambert High School student has been charged with vehicular homicide in a crash that killed another teen earlier this month.
Natalie D'Allen turned herself in at the Forsyth County Detention Center on Sunday, said sheriff's office spokesman Deputy First Class Doug Rainwater. D'Allen is charged with homicide by vehicle - second degree, failure to yield and driving in violation of license restrictions.
The crash happened July 14 at about 4:30 p.m. at the entrance of Sawnee Mountain Visitor's Center, on Spot Road in Cumming. According to the sheriff's office, D'Allen failed to yield when turning left in her 2010 Mercedes SUV.

She collided with a 2005 Honda Accord driven by 18-year-old MacKean Robertson. Robertson, a recent high school graduate, was declared dead at the scene. A Nissan Pathfinder driven by a 22-year-old man from Dahlonega also crashed into the Accord, according to the sheriff's office.
That driver and his passenger were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. D'Allen and her 17-year-old passenger were not injured.

Neither alcohol nor drugs was believed to be a factor in the crash, authorities say.
D'Allen, of Suwanee, was processed at the detention center at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Rainwater said. She was released on a $2,825 bond.
