Commute Alert: Freezing Rain Threat Into Monday Evening
Roads will become hazardous, according to the National Weather Service.

PEACHTREE CITY, GA — A freezing rain advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. Monday for the northern half of the Atlanta metro, according to the National Weather Service.
The advisory area includes Patch communities in Barrow, Cherokee, Cobb, Clarke, DeKalb, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Oconee and Walton.
Areas of light freezing rain or freezing drizzle will become more widespread Monday morning, mixing with light rain or drizzle, according to the weather service.

It will be falling as all rain by late Monday afternoon. Most areas will see less than 0.10 inch of ice with higher amounts on the south facing slopes of the mountains.
“Due to the ice accumulations, roads will become hazardous,” according to the weather service. “The weight of ice on trees could bring down some branches.”
