Georgia Couple Arrested With $21,000 In Meth In Baby's Diaper Bag

The baby was in the car at the time of the arrest, sheriff's deputies say.

GAINESVILLE, GA — A Georgia couple is under arrest after police say they were caught hiding nearly $21,000 worth of methamphetamine and syringes in their baby's diaper bag.

The 4-month-old child was in the vehicle at the time of their arrest, according to the Hall County Sheriff's Office.

Russell Ray Passmore, 38, and Megan Elizabeth Stone, 27, were arrested Sunday.

Sheriff's deputies say they found 6 1/2 ounces of meth — worth $20,900 — in the couple's car. They face criminal charges including meth trafficking and cruelty to a child and were booked into the Hall County Jail.

Multi-Agency Narcotic Squad Lt. Don Scalia told The Gainesville Times that the child is in the custody of the state Division of Family and Children Services.

"They had the child checked out and get some medical attention out of an abundance of caution," Scalia told the paper.
