Georgia State Patrol Has New Top Man in Cumming
Sgt. Tim Meyer is the new Post Commander for the Forsyth, Dawson, and Lumpkin County jurisdictions.

The Georgia State Patrol post which serves Cumming and Forsyth County has a new commander, AccessNorthGa.com reports.
Sgt. Tim Meyer was recently named the Post Commander for Post 37, which is based out of Cumming. Meyer has been with the patrol since February of 2000 and graduated as a member of the 77th Trooper School in 2001, Meyer was most recently the Assistant Post Commander at Post 32, which was based out of Athens. He has also served in Gainesville and Madison during his career.
Meyer now commands 10 troopers, who are responsible for patrolling the roads of Forsyth, Dawson, and Lumpkin counties. He says his priorities are to continue fighting against drunk driving and to increase school and child safety in his area of operations.
