Half Marathon Relocating to Forsyth County

The Michelob ULTRA Atlanta 13.1 Marathon will call Cumming home for the foreseeable future.

The organizers of the Michelob ULTRA Atlanta 13.1 Marathon have relocated the event to Forsyth County to attract the area’s growing running population and to allow the race to be held on a more convenient date for all involved.

According to a release from Life Time Fitness, the race will be held on the first Saturday in October at the Forsyth Conference Center on Ronald Reagan Boulevard in Cumming. In previous years, the race had been held on the first Sunday in October in Brookhaven.

Race Director Bob Fox said the move will allow more members of the running and walking community in the north metro area to participate in large events. He added that the race will provide a “fantastic experience to our athletes.”
