In Memoriam: Bryan Gene Hensley, 55

Bryan Hensley was the Superintendent at River Pines Golf Course in nearby Johns Creek.

Bryan Gene Hensley, 55, of Roswell, died on March 26, 2013. Born in Asheville, NC he was the son of the late C. Gene and Annabelle Hensley.

Bryan was the Superintendent at River Pines Golf Course in Johns Creek. He was an avid golfer and spent countless hours working with his hands molding wood and metal to create many beautiful pieces that were loved by family and friends. Bryan was affiliated with Cumming First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Erica Christine Hensley of Atlanta, GA; fiancé, Kristy Thompson of Cumming; brothers, Joe Hensley of Sugar Hill, GA and Scott Hensley of Woodstock, GA; sister, Teresa McDaniel of Grayson, GA; Erica’s mother, Teresa Summers Hensley of Newnan, GA; and an extended loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, at Cumming First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 30 from 10 a.m. until noon at McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory located at 150 Sawnee Drive.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bryan’s memory to the TWC Family Room at Children’s Health Care of Atlanta, c/o Renee Fraley, 1687 Tullie Circle, Atlanta, GA  30329.
