Doris Akins was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family.
Doris Aurena Akins, 88, of Cumming, died on March 27, 2013. Born in Marietta, she was the daughter of Morris and Maude Groover. Her beloved husband, Herbert Akins and her brother, Jimmy Groover also predeceased her.
Doris was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Claire Akins of Winder, GA; sons, Rick (Teresa) Akins and Bobby (Carol) Akins of Rutledge, GA; grandchildren, Sheri, Mindi, Tiffany, Jay, Kristy and Lauren; great-grandchildren, Michelle, Maci and Sadie; and great-great-granddaughter, Charlie.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 30, at Resthaven Cemetery in Decatur.
