Input Sought For Sawnee Mountain Preserve Overlook Amenities
The proposed overlook site is located at the former Barker House property, which was acquired by the county along with 12.8 acres in 2003.

CUMMING, GA — Forsyth County Parks and Recreation is seeking community input for amenities to be featured at a proposed scenic overlook at Sawnee Mountain Preserve. The input process will be conducted online, and participants will be able to view a narrated presentation about the project as well as participate in a community engagement survey.
The presentation includes information about the project site, existing conditions and types of amenities that are being proposed. The survey, which is available through Sept. 10, and video presentation can be found here.
“We encourage residents to provide feedback for this beautiful overlook area at one of our most popular and treasured parks,” said Parks and Recreation Director Jim Pryor.

Sawnee Mountain Preserve provides visitors with 821 acres of scenic passive space that includes 11 miles of hiking trails, picnic areas and an interactive Visitor Center.
