It's Time for Some New Chocolate!

As one of the most popular sweets of all times, chocolate is said to have originally been eaten by Aztec kings who loved its rich, decadent flavor.  Made with cocoa butter, chocolate has a melting point that’s just a bit lower than the average human body temperature, allowing those who eat it to experience it’s amazing melt-in-your-mouth sensation.

With this, since chocolate is known as a food that is outside the realm of our mundane, day-to-day eats, we at Gratitude Goodies make a point to select the highest quality chocolates for our new baskets every year.  To begin this process, we’re preparing to venture to AmericasMart Atlanta, where we personally try all of sweets that will go into our newest designs.  The Mart, which is one of the world’s largest permanent wholesale trade centers, hosts permanent exhibits, as well as trade shows that are only open to employees and guests of registered businesses.

Since the holiday season tends to be the busiest time of year for chocolate manufacturers, most are already in the process of planning and preparing for the winter months.  Therefore, expos—like the ones found at AmericasMart—present a fantastic opportunity for chocolate companies to present their new designs and flavors to potential buyers.

For us, we pride ourselves in hand-selecting the items which go into our baskets and we’re very excited to begin the process for our new designs.  There’s nothing like a gift basket filled with an assortment of rich, creamy chocolates, and each year we find ourselves anticipating our new creations.
