July 4th Celebration and Parade Scheduled For Cumming Fairgrounds
Fireworks and other festivities will be on the evening of Sunday, July 3, with the Steam Engine Parade scheduled for the morning of the 4th.

CUMMING, GA -- Cumming Fairgrounds will play host to a day full of Independence Day activities on both July 3rd and July 4th.
On the evening of Sunday, July 3, festivities will run from 6-11 p.m.
They'll include a dance contest, food vendors and children's activities.

Fireworks are scheduled for about 9:30 p.m. Sunday night.
But that won't be the end of the celebration, which kicks back off at 10 a.m. on July 4 with the Steam Engine Parade.

Led by Cumming's mayor and council, as well as a representative of the local veterans community, the parade features historical steam engines once used for agriculture in the area, along with other entries.
The parade begins at the intersection of Tribble Gap and Woodland Drive and ends at the fairgrounds. It is expected to last about two hours.
Cumming Fairgrounds is located at 235 Castleberry Rd. in Cumming.
It might be worth at least packing an umbrella for the festivities.
The extended weather forecast for the Atlanta area calls for a high of 85 next Sunday, with a 60 percent chance of thunderstorms during the day and more rain predicted Sunday night. On Monday, the 4th, it is expected to be cloudy and 86, with a 35 percent chance of thunderstorms during the day increasing to a 60 percent chance in the evening.
