Kudos To South Forsyth Middle School
South Forsyth Middle has been named a 2010 Georgia School of Excellence in Student Achievement.

South Forsyth Middle School has been named a 2010 Georgia School of Excellence in Student Achievement by the Georgia Department of Education.
"It takes a true collaborative effort to earn this level of distinction," said South Forsyth Middle School Principal Sandy Tinsley in a statement. "I commend our students, staff, parents, and community members for their dedication, commitment and hard work. We are honored to be recognized for this extraordinary achievement."
Each year 22 Schools of Excellence are chosen from each Congressional District and honored in two categories; Top 10 percent and Greatest Gains according to the Forsyth County Board of Education.

Superintendent L.C. Evans praised South Forsyth Middle on its achievement.
"Being named a Georgia School of Excellence is by far one of the greatest accomplishments a school in Georgia can attain," Evans said. "I am extremely proud of the work being done at South Forsyth Middle School, along with all of our Forsyth County schools. I think it says much about our school system that we annually continue to have Forsyth County schools make this prestigious list."
