Here are the top stories in Cumming today:
- Living Hope, a Christian maternity supportive housing residence, celebrated its opening this week. Owned and operated by Whispering Hope Women's Resource & Pregnancy Center, Living Hope offers a "safe, stable, and loving environment for single moms to prepare for birth, recover from pregnancy, and prepare for their future." The home can serve up to four pregnant women or new mothers at one time. (Forsyth County News)
- Forsyth County deputies arrested two people July 4 for allegedly trafficking methamphetamine. During a routine traffic stop, officers found cocaine residue in one of the suspect's bags and two bag of methamphetamine. Brian Vasquez, 28, of Roswell and a 20-year-old Gainesville woman were taken to the Forsyth County Jail. (Forsyth Herald)
- A new park is coming to Forsyth County. The county has struck a deal with developers of the Polo Fields subdivision to build a county park on the 39-acre property situated off Majors and Post Road in southwest Forsyth. The property was purchased July 8 for $7.9 million. Amenities will include athletic fields and an equestrian area. The site is expected to be open to the public in late August. (Appen Media)

- Summer may be winding down, but YMCA Camp High Harbour is still going strong! Make the last weeks of summer the best ever at Y overnight camp. There's still availability through July 30 for Lake Allatoona and August 6 for Lake Burton. (Forsyth County Family YMCA via Facebook)
