CUMMING, GA — A 21-year-old firefighter from Cumming was killed early Thursday when his motorcycle crashed while he was going around a curve.

Forsyth County authorities say Jacob Hammond was riding his motorcycle on Bannister Road near Namon Wallace Road in Cumming at around 1:14 a.m. While he was negotiating a curve, the bike — a black, 2016 Harley Davidson XL1200V Sportster — left the roadway and he was ejected, said sheriff's office traffic specialist DFC Andy Ives.
