Man Sought for Cashing Bad Checks in Cumming Arrested in Indiana

A man wanted by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office for cashing fraudulent business checks in Cumming is in custody at a jail in Indiana, the Sheriff’s Office says.
The suspect was spotted on security camera footage cashing the checks at three banks in Forsyth County and a fourth bank in Fulton County. He used fake IDs from Georgia and Florida to cash the checks, the Sheriff’s Office reports.
A post on the Sheriff’s Office Facebook Page on Monday reports that the suspect has been identified as Deno Rene Labrada. Labrada, 51 is currently in custody at the Hamilton County, IN jail on charges of forgery, check deception, and possessing synthetic identifications, according to jail records. His bail has been set at $20,000, jail records show.

The Sheriff’s Office says that Labrada is under investigation by several jurisdictions across the country for similar check cashing frauds.
