Meals on Wheels Program Seeks Donors to Aid Cumming's Homebound Seniors
Donors can sponsor a day, a week, a month, or a year of meals for elderly Forsyth County residents.

Forsyth County Senior Services is looking to the public to help provide meals to local seniors who are unable to leave their homes.
The agency is now accepting checks for the Home-Delivered Meals Holiday Gift Certificate Program, which will pay for home delivery of meals to eligible seniors. Checks should be made payable to “Forsyth County Senior Services, Holiday Gift Certificate Program” and can either be mailed or delivered in person to Forsyth County Senior Services, 2115 Chloe Rd., Cumming, GA, 30041.
The cost to provide one day of meals to one senior is $3.61, the county’s website says. One week of meals costs $18.05, one month of meals costs $79.42, and a year of meals costs $938.60. These donations may be tax-deductible. Each meal provided between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day will include a greeting card which names the person who donated the meal.
