'Meat Stinks' Billboard Goes Up In Cumming
The billboard targets chicken processing plants in the town and urges viewers to eat vegan.

CUMMING, GA — A billboard by controversial animal-rights group PETA is targeting what it calls stinky chicken-processing plants in Cumming.
The billboard, on Canton Road just north of Samaritan Drive, targets poultry plants in Cumming owned by Tyson Foods, Koch Foods and American Proteins, according to a news release.
The billboard, which the group says will be up for four weeks, features the image of a woman with a clothespin on her nose and the words, "Meat Stinks. Go Vegan."

"PETA is calling on everyone who doesn't enjoy the smell of dead chickens to go vegan," PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman said in the release.
The group decried what it calls inhumane treatment of chickens in the plants and the pollution that poultry processing plants create.
