ICYMI: Missing South Dakota Woman Believed To Be in Area

A reward is being offered for information leading to a missing South Dakota woman believed to be living in the Atlanta area.

Morgan Bauer, 20, left her hometown of Aberdeen, South Dakota on February 12. She was last heard from on February 29.

Authorities say she is believed to have been living in Gainesville and working in Atlanta as an exotic dancer.

The case has captured national attention.

"She wanted to be her own person, move to a big city and spread her wings," Sherri Sichmeller, Morgan's mother, told Dateline NBC. "For her to go completely silent on all counts is not her."

Sichmeller, who has traveled to Atlanta several times to post "missing" posters and search for her daughter, said Morgan had arranged via Craigslist to live with a man in the area, but got kicked out.

She told Dateline that Bauer then checked into a hotel and started applying for work as a dancer.

Bauer is described as 5-foot-6 and 130 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. She has tattoos on the back of her neck, her right arm, left inner arm and right shoulder.
