Need to Dispose of Your Christmas Tree? Let Keep Forsyth Beautiful Help!
Several tree recycling sites are now available for county residents; wood chips also available for pickup in Cumming.

Forsyth County residents who now have a surplus Christmas tree in their family rooms can bring their tannenbaum to several recycling sites across the county during the “Bring One for the Chipper” event.
According to Keep Forsyth Beautiful, tree recycling began at 1 p.m. on Dec. 26 and will continue until Jan. 3 at some sites and until Jan. 24 at other sites. The list of sites and their hours of operation are as follows:
• Vickery Creek Elementary School - 6280 Post Road
Accepting trees December 26 through January 3, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Please, no trees at this site after 4 p.m. on January 3
• Tolbert Street Recycling Convenience Center - 351 Tolbert Street

• Old Atlanta Recycling Convenience Center - 3678 Old Atlanta Road

In addition, the Home Depots at 1000 Market Place Boulevard and 2635 Peachtree Parkway will hold tree recycling events on Jan. 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Keep Forsyth County Beautiful says.
The trees will be recycled into wood chips which will be available to county residents at the Forsyth County Roads and Bridges facility at 4140 County Way. Residents are responsible for loading and hauling away any wood chips they wish to obtain, Keep Forsyth County Beautiful says.
