New Principal Named at West Forsyth High School

Two new middle school principals in Forsyth County also were named this week.

CUMMING, GA — West Forsyth High School will have a new principal next year.

Karl Mercer will take over as head of the Cumming school. He currently works as director of accountability for Forsyth County Schools.

He previously served as an assessment coordinator for the school system and, before that, as an assistant principal.

He's been a math teacher and curriculum developer at Georgia Virtual School and, before that, worked as a math teacher for Fulton County schools.

Mercer holds a specialist's degree in educational leadership and administration from Lincoln Memorial University and bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Georgia.

In other announcements, the Forsyth County school board announced that Pam Bibik, current assistant principal at Lambert High School, will become principal at Riverwatch Middle School and Scott Feldkamp, the assistant principal at Lakeside Middle School, will be the new principal at Vickery Creek Middle School.
