New Varsity Head Football Coach Named at Pinecrest
Pinecrest Academy is pleased to announce that Todd Winter has accepted the position of Head Varsity Football Coach of the Paladins.

After a search that produced numerous highly qualified candidates, Pinecrest Academy is pleased to announce that Todd Winter has accepted the position of Head Varsity Football Coach of the Paladins. In addition to his duties as a high school strength and conditioning instructor, Coach Winter will serve in the role of Director of Football Operations, overseeing Pinecrest’s entire football program, including four new competitive youth teams – the Forsyth Paladins -- for grades three through six.
"Coach Winter is committed to growing Pinecrest’s football program to the next level, following our motto 'Our Best to Christ,''' said Andres Montana, Pinecrest Academy Athletic Director. "One of our goals is to offer life changing athletics here at Pinecrest, so we’re not just talking about the game of football. It’s a much bigger initiative and a serious commitment to the athletes we coach and develop."
Most recently, Coach Winter was the Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator at North Park University (NCAA Div. III) in Chicago, Il. Coach Winter has also been the Head Football Coach at two class AAAAA high schools in the Midwest - Johnsburg High School in Illinois and Anderson High School in Indiana.

He comes to Pinecrest very highly recommended from each of his previous assignments as a master teacher of the game, a community builder, and a servant leader, successfully developing young men into Christian leaders.
News of the assignment has been very well received by Pinecrest’s football players, who are excited to begin training for the 2012 season, that will kick off play in a new region in the fall.

Coach Winter and his wife Jill are the parents of two teenage boys, Gatlin and Garrison, who will attend Pinecrest and look forward to playing football for the Paladins.
Coach Winter will begin working full-time beginning March 1 in preparation for spring practice, summer workouts, and the fall football season.
