COVID Restrictions To End As Forsyth Schools Return To Normal
COVID restrictions will end as Forsyth Schools return to normal operations on Wednesday, including allowing visitors and more.
CUMMING, GA — Due to the drop in COVID-19 numbers, Forsyth County Schools will be shifting back to normal operating procedures after returning from the student holiday on Wednesday, Feb. 23.
Principals will be sharing more school-specific details with parents and guardians. The district will not be contact tracing Feb. 18-22.
“Strong parental engagement and volunteerism is one of the reasons our students achieve at such a high level at FCS,” Superintendent Jeff Bearden said. “I am thankful that our COVID data has dropped enough to resume normal operations. We are excited to have our parents/guardians and volunteers return to our campuses. FCS will continue to monitor our data daily throughout this school year. As always, we will be prepared to pivot if the data dictates that we do so. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support throughout these past two years. I encourage our community remain vigilant.”
Last year, the district again returned to normal operations after returning from Thanksgiving break.
