Northside-Baby Families To Get 'Excuse' From Falcons Game

An estimated 20 babies will be born at Nortside's three campuses during the NFC Championship Game.

CUMMING, GA — In football-crazy Georgia, there won't be many acceptable excuses for missing Sunday's NFC Championship contest between the Atlanta Falcons and the Green Bay Packers.

Having a baby, it turns out, is one of those excuses.

Northside Hospital is awarding the parents of babies born any time during the big game with an "official pass" for missing the matchup.

The Certificate of Recognition, which will be handed out at Northside's campuses in Sandy Springs, Cumming and Canton, will serve as "the official excuse for your friends, family and colleagues who watched the game while you were having a #NorthsideBaby."

In addition to the certificate, Northside will be giving parents a Falcons gift bag with coffee mugs and other items, including hand sanitizers and lip balm.
