Onelife Fitness Collects over 1,000 Items for School Lunches

Fit for a Cause event benefits Must Ministries and Meals by Grace

Onelife Fitness in Cumming partnered with Must Ministries and Meals by Grace earlier this month to collect items to create lunches for school children during the summer that ordinarily rely on state-funded school lunch programs.

Must Ministries, which has already served over 250,000 summer lunches to school-aged children, has been active in the Marietta, Smyrna, Canton, and Cherokee communities for over 40 years. Meals by Grace partners with school social workers to identify children that come to school hungry, and coordinates efforts to deliver meals to those families throughout the year.

Fit for a Cause welcomed members of the community that burnt over 1,000 calories in consecutive classes to benefit Meals by Grace and Must Ministries. Over 1,000 items were collected by the gym to donate to the partner organization's efforts. Each attendee was responsible for providing 5 non-perishable items in exchange for a pass for the fitness class. Healthy snacks, juice boxes, dried items, and tradition lunch foods were donated by Onelife Fitness members throughout the month.
