Packs 4 Peers brings Holiday Cheer by announcing a Holiday Art Contest to benefit less fortunate peers from ATL Public School

Holiday Art Contest organized by Packs 4 Peers (Non-profit Organization).
All the proceeds will be used to purchase school supplies for underprivileged children in Atlanta.

Packs 4 Peers is a nonprofit organization based in Cumming, GA & founded by Omkar Waingankar, a Junior at South Forsyth High School (SFHS). Our mission is to supply the underprivileged children of Atlanta with the school supplies they need to succeed in the classroom. Over 2,000 children attending Atlanta Public Schools are registered as underprivileged and are in dire need of school supplies. We have worked alongside organizations such as the South Forsyth High School Beta Club, BELK Charity, and more in order to raise funds to purchase these school supplies.

Many of Forsyth County’s schools pursue the three A’s of excellence: Academics, Athletics, and Arts and are encouraging for “Altruistic Endeavors.” As a Forsyth County citizen, we highly regard all of these principles and Omkar is proud to be a part of a school system with such a broad scope and understanding of what is necessary for students to succeed today.

As such, the latest fundraiser is to undertake is a local art competition. Competitors are asked to create season’s greetings cards. More details regarding rules and submissions can be found in the attached documents. Renowned Art Class Teachers are the Judges. The first place winner in each category (3rd – 5th, 6th – 8th, and 9th – 12th grade) will receive a $50 cash prize and certificate, and the runner-up in each category will receive a $25 cash prize and a certificate.

An Award ceremony will be held at Sharon Forks Library (585 Dahlonega Hwy, Cumming, GA 30040) from 3-4 PM on December 20th. All participants, parents, and interested persons are cordially invited. We will be showcasing the top submissions from all grade levels, and we will also be recognizing honorable mentions.
