Paint, Electronics Recycling Event Set In Cumming
Sponsored by Keep Forsyth County Beautiful, the recycling event is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 4.

CUMMING, GA — A chance to recycle your old paint and outdated electronics is coming up in Forsyth County.
Keep Forsyth County Beautiful is hosting the recycling event from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Cumming Fairgrounds. The event will be in Parking Lot 3, off of Castleberry Road.
"We had a great turnout for our spring event and we are looking forward to another great turnout for this event on November 4," said environmental program manager Tammy Wright. "It is really incredible to see how many recyclables are collected in a four-hour period and kept out of landfills."

Items that will be accepted for recycling at the event include:
- desktop computers
- laptops
- printers
- stereos
- CD players
- cell phones
- gaming consoles and controllers
In addition to recycling fees, a minimum donation of $5 per carload is requested. There will be an additional $20 fee for each television and a $10 fee for each computer monitor. Latex and oil-based paints also will be accepted.
The cost for latex paint is $12 for a five-gallon bucket, $5 for a two-gallon bucket, $3 for a one-gallon can and $1 for a one-quart or smaller can. The cost to dispose of oil-based paints is $17 for a five-gallon bucket, $4 for a one-gallon can, $2 for a quart can and $1 for a one-pint can. Any type of spray can is also $1.
Some items will not be accepted, including large, wooden console televisions, projector televisions, toaster ovens and refrigerators.
