Patrols Out In 'Full Force' For Super Bowl Weekend, Warns Sheriff
The Forsyth Sheriff's Office is warning residents not to drink and drive during Super Bowl weekend because patrols will be 'full force.'
FORSYTH COUNTY, GA — The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office is warning residents not to drink and drive during Super Bowl weekend because patrols will be out in "full force."
"Super Bowl weekend is once again upon us, so we want to remind you to celebrate and drink responsibly," warns the sheriff's office in a Facebook post. "If you plan to drink then you will definitely want to have a designated, sober driver because if you drink and drive in Forsyth County you will go to jail. The safety of our FOCO residents always comes first for us, so united with Alpharetta Police, our DUI patrols will be out in full force this weekend."
"Just to highlight an example of a typical weekend in FOCO, here are a few numbers from our DUI arrests this past weekend: .013 / .024 / .025 / .010 / .017 (0.08 is legally Drunk). Numbers for January 2018 - 63 people were arrested for DUI," reads the Facebook warning.
